Pioneers of Computer History

Charles Babbage (1791-1871) is a British pioneer of science, he worked on the ‘Difference Engine’ which is a computer capable of solving mathematical equations when such data is input.

Alan Turing (1912-1954) was a British pioneer of science, just like Charles Babbage. Turing was famous for his role in breaking Nazi codes, he used the Enigma code breaker to achieve this, His role was a major factor into winning World War 2 for the nations fighting against Hitler.

Laslo Moholy-Nagy (1895-1946) was a Hungarian Photographer who worked at the Bauhaus, an art school in Germany.

Tim Berners Lee (1955-present) is best known for his creation of the World Wide Web in 1990, it has developed greatly in the past 25 years since, communication with people around the world is easier.

Ada Lovelace (1815-1852) is known for her work as a mathematician and computer pioneer. In her lifetime she was associated to another pioneer Charles Babbage.
