Virtual Art from Illusion to Immersion

Oliver Grau (1965-) mentions in the following quote ‘Since the end of the 1980’s, new interfaces communicate three-dimensional images using the head mounted display (HMD)’. This is relevant to modern society, an example of the HMD is the Oculus Rift which uses Virtual Reality as a way to feed information to the player and display a form of ‘virtual art’ such as the contents inside the environment they are immersed in.
